Snow in Desert

Middle East Winter 2012: When Snowflakes Covered Scorching Arabian Land
 Mar 06, 2012 06:12 AM EDT

Heavy snowstorms gripped certain regions of the Middle East, which is better known for its scorching hot weather, early this year.
From the low deserts of Saudi Arabia to the eastern areas of Lebanon, snowflakes were seen trailing down through the wintry weather.
Despite the freezing temperatures, residents bundled themselves up in warm clothing and took to the clogged streets to play with snow.
This pristine white scene stands in sharp contrast to the fiery weather witnessed in the rest of the year and is a delight to most photographers.
