So the Huayra was faster than the
Ariel Atom V8 (1:15.1) and the
McLaren MP4-12C (1:16.2) as well as other supercars such as the
Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and
Lamborghini Aventador.
The Huayra is powered by an AMG-built twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12
with 700 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque. It can go from 0-60 mph in
3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 235 mph. The Huayra may not keep this
record for long, however. With the pending arrival of the Ferrari F150,
McLaren P1 and the
Porsche 918 Spyder, a new record may soon be made.
