Attack on Azmin ..Mom make statement

PKR deputy president told to return to the right path

.
Che Tom Yahaya sobbing while pleading for her son, PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, to come home and visit her, during an interview on TV’3 Buletin Utama last night.
AZMIN Ali's mother, Che Tom Yahaya, yesterday said she was devastated by the behaviour of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat deputy president and urged him to return to the right path.
In an emotional interview with TV3 at her home in Gombak, the 78-year-old said Azmin had not visited her for nine months since the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
She had advised him to change his ways then, she said.
Since then, she had not seen him, even though, at one time, he had visited the Gombak parliamentary constituency.
"He did not come to see me," she said in between sobs.
She did not dismiss the possibility that Azmin had changed as a result of his close relationship with opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"He claims to be struggling for fairness through PKR.
"But where is the fairness when he gives precedence to other people at the expense of his own mother? I am devastated."
Che Tom said as a mother, she could not agree with Azmin's struggles for PKR as they were causing chaos in the country.
She said she was embarrassed by the many controversies that had dogged her son, the fourth of six children.
"People say I didn't know how to bring up my children.
"But I feel that his father and I had done our best in raising our children. (We taught them to be) courteous, decent and respectful.
"But now that he (Azmin) is an adult and holds a position, he has become like this."
Che Tom denied that she had ever disowned any of her children, as claimed by Azmin.
She said she hoped Azmin would come back to the family, but cited two conditions.
"Return to the right path. Ask God for forgiveness and stop associating with that group (PKR).
"Many of his friends have disassociated themselves with that group.
"He must do this. Only then can he come back.
"If not, when I die, don't come and see me.
"It would not mean anything since he refuses to see me when I am alive."
