ADUN-BN- Cadang HUDUD DI JOHOR

ADUN Umno cadang Johor laksana hudud
  • Ahmad Fadli KC
  • 4:16PM Jun 30 2012

Seorang Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Umno Johor mengambil langkah berani apabila mencadangkan Johor menjadi negeri pertama melaksanakan hukum hudud di Malaysia.

'Sokong Umno kalau ikhlas'

"Apabila Umno sebut tentang hudud, PAS kena sokong jugalah," katanya.

Negeri Kelantan meluluskan pelaksanaannya hukum hudud di bawah Kanun Jenayah Syariah II (1993) pada tahun 1993. Namun pelaksanaannya tidak menjadi kenyataan apabila melibatkan pertikaian berhubung isu-isu perlembagaan.

Najib denies interfering in Ampang LRT deal

KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak denied today having a hand in the selection of George Kent for the RM1 billion Ampang Light Rail Transit (LRT) extension project, insisting that the process was “done properly.” PKR has claimed to possess “solid, documentary proof” that the prime minister intervened in the awarding of the contract, and lodged a police report today over alleged criminal breach of trust and abuse of power.
“Everything is done properly. No such thing, nothing was improper,” the Umno president told reporters after chairing a Barisan Nasional (BN) supreme council meeting.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has started investigations at Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd (SPNB) this afternoon over the award of a RM960 million contract for the project.
PKR had previously questioned a Business Times report that a George Kent Bhd joint-venture could win a RM960 million contract for the Ampang Light Rail Transit (LRT) extension project, saying the consortium was knocked out in the bidding process.
Rafizi had said on June 22 he “can expose that George Kent is not the consortium who was chosen in Prasarana’s open tender process” despite the speculation in the business daily.
The Malaysian Insider reported this morning that the speculated winner of the Ampang LRT system works, the George Kent consortium, was one of three bidders that failed both the technical and commercial evaluation for the RM960 million contract.
Sources told The Malaysian Insider that only five of the eight bidders passed the technical and commercial evaluation stage but project owner SPNB finally recommended one of the two South Korean consortiums in the running — PDA Consortium — as the other consortiums were said to not have complied with all conditions.
PKR officials have shown copies of official documents to the press, showing that the Ministry of Finance’s (MoF) Acquisition Committee, which met this January 25, had decided to award the contract to Balfour Bratty Invensys Consortium.
The committee is the highest decision-making body in the MoF and is chaired by Najib himself, who is also finance minister.
The Business Times said Putrajaya was due to announce the winning bidder by the end of June, adding that George Kent was tipped to get the lucrative project. The highest bid received for the project tender, which closed on June 16, was RM1.45 billion.
But PKR’s sheaf of documents showed that the SPNB meeting on December 2, 2011, had recommended PDA Consortium to undertake the project for RM1.12 billion over 44 months. SPNB is a wholly-owned unit of the MoF and the company has budgeted RM1.5 billion for the system works.
SPNB is spending some RM7 billion for the extension of both the Kelana Jaya and Ampang LRT rail networks. The Ampang network will be extended by 17.7km.
Apart from extending the current LRT lines, Putrajaya is also undertaking the multi-billion ringgit My Rapid Transit (MRT) that will snake through the capital city. The country’s most expensive infrastructure project is to be ready by June 2017 but there have been delays and reluctance by international companies to bid for the tenders on offer.
The Land Transport Commission (SPAD) has announced that up to RM160 billion could be spent on railway infrastructure projects in the country, making Malaysia a tempting destination for international engineering firms.

Malaysia bertindak sebagai proksi Israel - The Telegraph

Malaysia bertindak sebagai proksi Israel - The Telegraph

Kekecohan Libatkan Dua NGO

Campak 2 anak kerana bosan

- DM

Facebook and your e mail

Facebook is trying to hijack your email address

@CNNMoneyTech June 25, 2012: 6:08 PM ET
facebook emails
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- If you're a Facebook user, you have a @facebook.com email address, whether you use it or not. Facebook is now automatically posting those addresses to users' profiles and displaying them as the default email address.
Cue the backlash. Facebook told CNNMoney the change has been rolling out for "a few weeks," but many users weren't aware of it until a spate of blog posts and news articles began drawing attention to it on Monday.
"Speaking of hating your users. Facebook forces everyone onto its email system. Really, Facebook?! Really?!" tweeted freelance tech journalist Ron Miller.
Blogger Gervase Markham, one of the first to draw attention to the change, was scathing in his comments on it.
"Facebook silently inserted themselves into the path of formerly-direct unencrypted communications from people who want to email me. In other contexts, this is known as a Man In The Middle (MITM) attack," he wrote, referring to a tactic hackers use to intercept electronic messages. "What on earth do they think they are playing at?"
Facebook (FB) seemed surprised by the reaction.
"We basically defaulted to show your Facebook address as we rolled this out, just to keep it consistent for everyone," said Meredith Chin, Facebook's manager of product communications.
She repeated the word "consistent" several times in her attempt to explain Facebook's rationale for the change.
It's part of a relatively new "Timeline" profile set-up process that lets users change their privacy settings for each post displayed on their Timeline page. The e-mail move "is similar to that. It's an additional visibility setting," she said.
Users can change the setting and show whatever email address they like, but by default, the visible address will be @facebook.com.
The change hasn't hit all accounts yet, but it will roll out eventually to all of Facebook's 900 million users, Chin confirmed.
That means many users will start getting email messages at an @facebook.com account they might otherwise never use.
That's the kind of change Facebook users tend to get very angry about when they're not warned in advance -- and it's something Facebook has a bad habit of doing. The site is notorious for its "mess up and apologize" approach.
Chin couldn't elaborate on why Facebook didn't communicate the email change before it happened.
"We as a company know we're always under a microscope, but sometimes there are certain things..." Chin said, trailing off. "Well, you plan for everything to be as loud as possible. But sometimes things come up that we need to be better about."
How to fix it: Users who want to stop the @facebook.com address from showing up on their profiles can do so by editing their "Contact Info" sections.
You have two options for any email addresses associated with your Facebook profile: "shown on Timeline" or "hidden from Timeline." By default, Facebook is setting your @facebook.com address to be "shown on Timeline" and hiding the rest. To change that, switch your @facebook.com email address to be "hidden from Timeline," and set a different email to be "shown on Timeline."
Facebook may "write a post about this, if there continues to be some confusion around it," Chin said.
But an after-the-fact blog post probably won't calm angry users, and it certainly won't staunch the ink that's been devoted to Facebook's move -- or the philosophy behind it.
Many articles characterized the change as a ham-fisted way for Facebook to push its email system, which it first announced in in late 2010. At that time the company said its goal was to integrate conversations across multiple channels of communication -- text messages, Facebook chat, email, etc.
Forbes summed up the conventional wisdom on Monday with a simple headline on its post: "Facebook's Lame Attempt To Force Its Email Service On You."
Facebook, of course, doesn't agree with that assessment.
"I'm seeing this whole meme around the idea that it's us pushing for people only to use facebook.com addresses," Chin said. "That was not our intention. We want people to use whatever's easier for them.

Can we trust Egypt's new president?

(CNN) -- The Egyptian uprising, launched by young liberals hoping to bring freedom, democracy and equality to their country, has finally produced a new president.
Mohamed Morsi, long known as the hard-line enforcer of the Muslim Brotherhood, has promised to govern for all Egyptians, vowing to protect the rights of women, children, Christians and Muslims. He says he will preserve all international agreements, implying peace with Israel, and has made a commitment to democracy, saying "there is no such thing" as "Islamic democracy."
It all sounds good, and tens of millions of Egyptians, along with millions more around the world, hope he is sincere.
Frida Ghitis
And yet the Muslim Brotherhood has much to prove -- beginning with whether or not it can be trusted.
For many years the Brotherhood was banned in Egypt, so it operated underground. Since the revolution, Egyptians have had a chance to see it in action. What they have seen so far is an organization impressively capable of modulating its message to suit specific audiences to achieve political gain.
More importantly, the Brotherhood has revealed a troublesome habit of breaking its word.
Morsi won the presidency, but not before his Freedom and Justice Party, the political arm of the Brotherhood, managed to lose half of its popular support in a matter of months. Millions of Egyptians soured on the Islamist group after seeing how it acted since coming out of the shadows. Its leaders knew their presence would trigger international concern and probably a harsh crackdown.
Will Egypt believe Morsi's unity call?

When Hosni Mubarak fell, they pledged they would not try to control Egyptian politics. But they promptly changed their minds.
The Muslim Brotherhood leaders promised to contest only a minority of seats in the legislature, rather than trying to win a majority. They broke that promise. They promised, through Morsi himself, "We will not have a presidential candidate. ... We are not seeking power."
They broke that promise. They vowed to run a thoroughly inclusive process for developing a new Egyptian Constitution. They broke that promise, too.
Clearly, the Brotherhood, and the soon-to-be Egyptian president, have developed something of a credibility problem.
In parliamentary elections this year, Brotherhood candidates won 10 million votes, almost 40% of the total. The more radical Islamist party, the Salafis, took 28%. Altogether, Islamist parties took control of a stunning two-thirds of the seats in parliament.
The courts recently disbanded that parliament, but not before Egyptian voters had a chance to see it in action. It was a sobering sight.
Despite all the promises of supporting the ideals of the revolution and embracing equal rights for women, the parliament took on proposals that would have dramatically set back women's rights.
And when they put together a panel to write the constitution, it was so loaded with Islamists that a number of groups withdrew in protest and filed lawsuits. That panel, too, was disbanded by the courts.
Support for the Brotherhood collapsed. Morsi won just 5 million votes in the first round of presidential elections, half as many as in the parliamentary election, one of every four votes, and just one in 10 eligible voters. He won the presidency only because many voters felt the runoff left two terrible choices: the Brotherhood or a return to the Mubarak era. Many opted to spoil their ballot rather than support either candidate.
What became clear in parliament is that when the Brotherhood gained power, it legislated along much less moderate lines than when campaigning, giving speeches to mixed audiences, or speaking to the foreign press.
In the past, Morsi has called for banning women and non-Muslims from running for president. His election rallies reportedly featured pledges to imposing Sharia, chants of "Our capital shall not be Cairo. ... It shall be Jerusalem," and other deeply disturbing slogans.
Still, the Brotherhood is strategically oriented. It keeps its eye firmly on its long-term goals while displaying flexible short-term pragmatism. To win the presidency it negotiated with the strongest power in Egypt, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces. Morsi will not have a free hand to govern, at least not in the short term. The constitution is not even a work-in-progress yet. It's unclear what role the president will have. And there is currently no parliament.
Egypt is in dire economic shape, and the need to continue the flow of aid from Washington may temper rash impulses for now, particularly regarding peace with Israel. Although less than 24 hours after his "message of peace," he already seems to be backtracking on that front.
Morsi's words must be followed closely, but they must be matched against his actions, especially in the longer term, when the cameras leave Tahrir Square, the place where Egypt's revolution started with calls for real democracy and equality.
His first speech as president-elect touched on the right themes. But the Muslim Brotherhood and Egypt's soon-to-be president still need to show they are true to the ideals of the revolution, not just clever manipulators of a popular uprising.

Ramadhan is coming

Anda bersetuju?
PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) hopes the Government will consider raising the retirement age to 60 from 55 currently because long retirement period is one of the factors that contribute to inadequacy of retirement savings.
Chief executive officer Tan Sri Azlan Zainol said this when asked what was EPF’s wish for Budget 2012.
“A factor that works against the adequacy of retirement savings in Malaysia is the increasingly long retirement period. “When it was first set up in 1951, the full withdrawal age for our members of 55 was the same as the Malaysian life expectancy then.
“But some 60 years on, while the full withdrawal age has not changed, the average life expectancy of Malaysians has increased to 75 years.
“Thus, Malaysians today need to save for a 20-year retirement span compared to a shorter one 60 years ago. This is a long period and one of the longest in Asean and the world,” he said in his keynote address at the Malaysian Private Pension and Healthcare Conference 2011.
Another factor that influences the inadequacy of retirement savings among EPF members is the spending habit of retirees. Azlan said that in a survey commissioned in 2003, it was found that 14% of its members finished their retirement savings within three years of retiring, 50% within five years and 70% within 10 years.
“Hence, we need to be mindful of this inadequacy of retirement savings issue as it could snowball into a future social issue,” he said.
At EPF, as a guide towards judging the adequacy of retirement savings, Azlan said, it had established a measure called “basic savings”. “Basic savings is a benchmark by which members can gauge the adequacy of their retirement savings at each year of their life from 18 years to 55 years of age.
“The final aim is to have accumulated RM120,000 by the age of 55 that will translate into RM500 a month for the next 20 years. “We are happy to note that at the end of 2010, for our active members who are 54 and about to retire this year, their average savings is around RM127,000 each,” he said.
However, the RM500 a month is lower than the 2009 poverty line income of the country of RM800 a month set by the Economic Planning Unit. On healthcare and retirement, Azlan cautioned that the demand for healthcare for the aged was expected to rise significantly in the forthcoming years.
“And the Malaysia population is ageing, according to the United Nations, with more than 7% of our population aged 60 years and older. “At EPF, we are cognisant of our members’ needs and for those most urgent, we have provided withdrawal schemes from members’ account two for housing, education and critical illnesses.
“From July 15, we have raised the number of critical illnesses eligible for withdrawal from the age of 36 to 55,” he said. On the paring down of EPF’s stake in RHB Capital Bhd and Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB), Azlan declined to comment. EPF holds 44.84% and 65.5% stakes in RHB Capital and MBSB respectively

CUEPACS SAMBUT BAIK NAIK HAD UMUR PERSARAAN PEKERJA SWASTA

Bernama
19/6/2012

Usia 58 duit KWSP dah lesap

Kerajaan Berhutang KWSP (RM144.5 Bilion)?

Tuesday, June 19, 20120 comments

Pengeluaran Caruman KWSP Kerajaan Berhutang KWSP (RM144.5 Bilion)? Lepas Ini, Pengeluaran Wang KWSP (Total) Umur 60 Tahun?
Kena ingat :
“Nilai wang fiat setiap tahun makin lama makin menyusut”

Pengeluaran Wang KWSP (Total) : Dinaikkan Had Umur!!

Tetapi jikalau anda semak keretan akhbar di bawah, pasti anda akan tahu apa sebab-musabab kerajaan mahu melanjutkan had persaraan kepada umur 60 tahun. Microsoft unveils Surface tablet to rival iPad

LOS ANGELES (CNNMoney) -- Upending one of the world's most successful business strategies over the past three decades, Microsoft has developed a Windows tablet computer of its own design.
The company on Monday unveiled the Surface, a PC tablet that runs a yet-to-be released version of its Windows operating system called Windows 8. The device is the first commercial PC that Microsoft has directly designed and sold.
The tablet features many of the now-standard tablet specs, including a 10.6 inch high-definition touchscreen and front and rear facing cameras, which all fit into a 9.3 millimeter, 1.5-pound frame.
But Surface also brings some new innovations to the tablet space. The device's cover, for instance, flips down to become a full keyboard. It features a rigid case built from magnesium, a pen that clicks into the tablet and a built-in kickstand. (Click here for our hands-on demo of the Surface.)
Microsoft is recycling -- or extending -- a brand name it has used before. The first "Microsoft Surface" device, which began shipping in in 2008, was a giant touchscreen computer aimed at retailers and other commercial customers.
Microsoft's Surface tablet will first be available on a version of Windows 8 called Windows RT. That operating system will run on microchips designed by ARM (ARMH), which are inside 95% of the world's smartphones and tablets. Another version of Surface will be designed for the fuller Windows 8 operating system, which will run on Intel chips.
Microsoft didn't give specifics, but the company said the Windows RT version will be available sometime this fall in 32- and 64-gigabyte versions and will be priced "comparably" to other tablets on the market. Apple's most basic version of the iPad retails for $499.
The full Windows 8 version will be available three months later in 64- and 128-GB versions. Microsoft plans to set its price point in the same zone as ultrabooks, which typically run around $1,000.
Microsoft (MSFT, Fortune 500) said it will not be the exclusive manufacturer of Windows tablets.
Still, it's a radical shift for the world's largest software company.
Microsoft's licensing of Windows to PC manufacturers has been one of the most profitable businesses in technology history. The software giant's Windows division posted sales of $4.6 billion last quarter, $3 billion of which was pure profit. Microsoft's 33% profit margin was the sixth largest on the latest Fortune 500 list.
It's a strategy that is both lucrative and dominant. Windows is the operating system running on more than 90% of the world's computers and two-thirds of the planet's Internet-connected gadgets.
A move to shake up a model that successful would usually be considered a mistake. But these aren't ordinary times.
Apple's (AAPL, Fortune 500) iPad has been luring away Windows customers for two years. PC sales have flat-lined as consumers look to buy a more elegant, portable and simpler device for their everyday computing needs. Windows sales have fallen in five of the past six quarters.
Though Microsoft's "open" strategy, which lets consumers buy Windows on a wide range of devices, has been a winning tactic for decades, Apple's "we make the whole widget" plan has been far more successful over the past several years.
Apple's iPad revenue has surpassed Microsoft's Windows revenue for the past three quarters. Apple's stock market value eclipsed Microsoft's in May 2010, and the company -- the world's most valuable -- is now worth more than twice as much as its one-time archrival.
As a result, Microsoft is taking a page from Apple's handbook.
"Microsoft founders Bill Gates and Paul Allen made a big bet -- a bet on software -- but it was always clear that we had to push hardware in ways that sometimes manufacturers hadn't envisioned," Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said at Monday's event. "We believe that any intersection between human and machine can be made better when all aspects, hardware and software, are working together."
It's not the only one looking to mirror Apple's strategy. Google (GOOG, Fortune 500) last month completed a blockbuster $12.5 billion purchase of Motorola Mobility, expanding its role as the designer of the Android operating system to also become a smartphone maker.
That's a hard path. Hewlett-Packard's (HPQ, Fortune 500) TouchPad tablet lasted all of a month on the market. Research In Motion's (RIMM) BlackBerry PlayBook tablet also never took off, despite a steep price cut.
Microsoft also has a very mixed track record when it comes to making gadgets.
The software giant has actually been in the hardware business for 30 years, making mostly mice and keyboards. But in 2001, the company expanded into the video game sphere, losing billions on its Xbox console before it just recently took over the top spot on the market. Its Kinect accessory, which makes controllerless gaming possible, has been a great success story.
But the Zune MP3 player never gained much traction, and Microsoft announced earlier this month that it would kill off the brand completely. It retired the Zune hardware last fall

Wow! What a tournament! The group phase of Euro 2012 has yielded some fantastic games. No 0-0 draws and a total of 60 goals in 24 matches.
With the tournament now moving to the knockout stage, this is a good time to pick out some of the top performers so far. My choices are below, and let me know your thoughts about the action in Poland and Ukraine.
Best goal
I am going for Danny Welbeck’s winner for England against Sweden. His flick was simply sublime and it narrowly beat the goals scored by Mario Balotelli against Ireland and Zlatan Ibrahimovic against France. The creativity and flair shown by the young Manchester United striker to conjure up that finish really impressed me.
Best team
I am picking Germany because they were the only team with three wins in three matches, and Joachim Low's side looked solid in every game. Have they been spectacular? No. But they don’t need to be because they still look like the team to beat.
Best goalkeeper
Iker Casillas gets my vote. He came up with a couple of key saves against Italy in Spain's opening match and again in the decisive game against Croatia. He is still underrated because everyone talks about Spain’s creative players, but without "Saint Iker" La Roja may have already been knocked out of the tournament.
Best defender
Pepe has been sublime. The Portugal center back has a deserved reputation for being overly aggressive, but he has been a picture of class and composure in this tournament. Simply superb.
Best midfielder
Andres Iniesta. Voted man of the match twice, the Barcelona playmaker has been fantastic as far as I am concerned. This is the first tournament where he has been completely healthy and fit, and he is shining in Spain’s midfield. Some of his colleagues have looked jaded, but Iniesta is anything but.
Best forward
Sweden's Ibrahimovic and Croatia's Mario Mandzukic had great tournaments but since their teams have been knocked out, I have to go for Mario Gomez. You can love him or hate him, but one thing is for sure - this guy knows where the goal is. He had a stinker in the European Champions League final but the Germany striker is proving once again that you can never count him out!
Biggest surprise
Group A. I never expected the Czech Republic and Greece to qualify, especially after the first round of matches. However, somehow, they managed to knock out the strongest team in the group, Russia, and co-hosts Poland. Now everyone is asking, can Greece do a Greece and repeat that shock 2004 success?
Best post-match quote
Oleh Blokhin gets annoyed with one journalist’s line of questioning after Ukraine’s defeat to England and suggests they take the argument outside: “Respect my job and me. I won't allow anyone to criticize my team, about (Oleh) Gusev or (Andriy) Shevchenko. If you're a man, go with me. One-on-one.”
Best game
The quality of football played has been extremely high. There are many games to pick from but I am going for Italy versus Spain. It only had two goals but I was thoroughly entertained. The level of skill displayed by both teams was exquisite and either could have won the game. This was one match I had the pleasure of attending in person and I won’t forget it anytime soon.

Istihza’ (mengolok-olok) Sunnah Nabi berarti mengolok-olok Islam.

TMJ: 'Kenapa hanya orang Melayu mahu jatuhkan Raja'
